About Craig Goldman, the head conductor and creator of Why Not Play For Fun 

Craig Goldman brings over 40 years of experience to Why Not Play For Fun. He worked at various JCCs in NY, NJ, and CT , running health clubs, children’s sports programs, and directing summer camps for almost two decades.

 

From 1997 to 2025, Mr. Goldman  worked at the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy and Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston NJ, as a Physical Education Teacher and  Athletic Director. Additionally, during his summer breaks, he has dedicated over fifteen years directing summer basketball clinics in both the US and Israel.

 

 

He has run “play” programs for adult and teen conventions, training seminars and sports clinics. Throughout his years he has specialized in “new games” and novel approaches to sports and fitness. Mr. Goldman’s attributes much of his success to his hands-on, high enthusiasm style and passion for bringing elements of play into everything he does.
 


Craig holds an M.S. in Health Service Administration from Russell Sage College and a B.S. in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland. He is an ASEP/NFHS certified instructor, SCW certified personal trainer and yoga instructor, has a certification in Go Beyond Cooperative Learning: Using Games In Creative Ways to Accelerate Learning, and has been trained as a Physical Fitness Specialist with the Aerobic Institute.
